Ghoum rug (cotton warp and weft, wool pile), central Persia, circa 1930-1970. The rug is decorated with a small pond with a duck and numerous flowering trees, animals and birds on a mountain landscape background. A wide border with a succession of small polychrome medallions decorated with animals, trees and birds is framed by two counter-borders. 190 x 130 cm (Wear and fraying).
