Hamadan rug (cotton warp and weft, wool pile), northwest Persia, circa 1940-1970. The rug is embellished with large polychrome geometric flowers on a red background. A red border with a geometric flower garland is framed by two counter-borders. 180 x 95 cm (Worn, frayed and damaged selvages).
