Nain rug, (cotton warp and weft, wool velvet and probably silk flowers), central Persia, circa 1960-1980. The rug features an elongated central medallion, extended by two large pendants on a navy blue background with polychrome floral decoration. A wide border with a succession of cartouches enhanced by mihrabs with polychrome floral motifs surrounds the composition. 320 x 200 cm (Slight wear and fraying).
