NEIL ARMSTRONG / North American X-15 Black and white photo signed by Armstrong with the addition "X- 15". 12.5x17.5 cm - Armstrong made his first X-15 flight on November 30, 1960, in X-15 #1. He made his second flight on December 9, 1960, aboard the same aircraft. This was the first X-15 flight to use the spherical nose, which enabled precise measurement of air speed and flow angle at supersonic and hypersonic speeds.
