- This civilian seaplane, commissioned in 1932, was used to transport mail for l'Aéropostale, and was crewed by the French Navy, with Lieutenant-Commander Roger Bonnot as captain. It was Bonnot himself who christened the seaplane "Croix-du-Sud", designing its emblem. The aircraft made its first major flight, linking the Etang de Berre to Saint-Louis-du-Sénégal non-stop from December 31, 1933 to January 1, 1934, a distance of 3,679.4 km, beating the world record for straight-line distance flown by seaplane.
