CONCORDE Black and white photo of the Concorde 001 prototype in flight, autographed by its crew: André Turcat, Jacques Guignard, Henri Perrier and Michel Rétif. 13.5x 20 cm - The French prototype Concorde 001 (F-WTSS, for Transport SuperSonique) in full afterburner on takeoff during its maiden flight on March 2, 1969 at Toulouse-Blagnac airport. André Turcat - chief pilot, was at the controls with his team: Jacques Guignard - co-pilot, Michel Rétif - flight engineer, and Henri Perrier - flight engineer. The flight lasts 29 minutes. On April 9, the 002 (G-BSST) made its first test flight.
