Jean DA MILANO (1928-2017) Composition 2650-82 Oil on canvas signed and dated 82 lower right Countersigned and titled on the back Stamp 4th Grand Prix International d'arts plastiques de la ville de Saint-Raphaël (92 x 73.5 cm) Jean da Milano, an artist from Nice who in the 60s turned to abstract, almost cosmic painting, exhibited his work in 1977 at the Musée de Saint Paul de Vence, thanks to the support of his friend André Verdet. He was then represented in numerous galleries and won several awards, including a silver medal at the Art Expo in New York in 1983.
